The Trismus Candidate is finished and awaiting official publication on Amazon and Lulu. I’m about three days into this wait now and it’s excrutiating. Kindle Direct Publishing, after you upload your manuscript, of course review it to ensure that you’re not a terrorist or pedophile. Apparently they have more on the line than Lulu who basically made the book available directly after the cover design was finished. I dislike all that self-promotion entails so I’d like to wait for both editions to be available before I begin begging for attention and money. That way I can make one post on the various social networking sites I belong to and hope that word of mouth does the rest for me. This lazy, uninvolved approach to marketing is exactly how Stephen King, Chuck Palahniuk, James Ellroy, etc. went about it I’m sure. Readers should just come to me without any solicitation, right?
